SCANA Energy donates $100,000 to Heating Energy Assistance Team to help low-income families and seniors stay warm this season.

SCANA’s sizable contribution will keep heat on for many Georgians.

ATLANTA (OCT. 28, 2022) – SCANA Energy today announced that it is contributing $100,000 to Georgia’s Heating Energy Assistance Team (HEAT), following a string of donations to the organization over SCANA’s 23 years serving Georgia residents.

“HEAT helps to ensure that no one in Georgia goes without warmth in the fall and winter months,” said Brett Newsom, Vice President, SCANA Energy. “Our contributions over the years to this essential organization are just one of the ways SCANA Energy gives back to those most in need.”

SCANA Energy also serves as the regulated provider in Georgia’s deregulated natural gas market, ensuring that households that meet income thresholds and those who have been turned down by other marketers are still able to receive natural gas service.
