In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, SCANA Energy made a $5,000 donation to Hillside Atlanta, one of the leading mental health treatment providers for children, adolescents, and families.

Established in 1888, Hillside is one of Atlanta’s oldest non-profit organizations. It began as a shelter for homeless women and children and has since grown into an organization to help children and families thrive by providing quality mental health services. Hillside recognizes the effects mental health challenges have on children and teens and that each child is different and requires unique treatment. Each Hillside patient follows a course of treatment designed specifically for them. The programs focus on the strengths of the child and encourage the growth and improvement they need.

SCANA Energy’s donation will support Hillside Atlanta’s annual Craft Crawl. Hillside’s Morningside campus will host an event featuring handmade crafts made by Hillside client and neighbors, as well as DIY craft lessons, live music, and more.
