This year, we are celebrating 25 years of the SCANA Energy Homework Centers. In addition to making the program our December Organization of the Month, we ran a campaign on social media for donations supporting the centers.

The SCANA Energy Homework Centers are an after-school program held at 10 Title 1 elementary schools across metro-Atlanta. These programs serve students in grades 2–5, offering them homework support, extra learning opportunities, food, and more.

Students meet twice a week after school with teachers to work on homework and school projects. They also get visits from our partners like the Atlanta Dream, Alliance Theatre, Georgia Tech, and more. Each partner brings different activities that help the students picture a bright future.

With more funding, the students will get more opportunities they otherwise wouldn’t. The SCANA Energy Community showed up and together, we were able to raise $6,027 for the homework centers. To donate or learn more, visit scanaenergy.com/give.
